Outreach Maps & Territory Management
From drawing zones to tracking real-time door knocks, learn how SWAPP organizes your city for the Gospel.
1. Setting Up Your Territories (Dashboard)
Mapping in SWAPP follows a two-tier hierarchy: **Folders (Zones)** and **Maps (Streets)**.
Creating a Zone (Folder)
- Log into the Admin Dashboard and select Outreach.
- Click the Add Folder button. Your cursor will become a plus
(
+). - Draw: Click around the perimeter of the neighborhood or town area. Each click drops an anchor point.
- Close: Click back on the first point you placed to finish the shape.
- Name: Use a systematic name (e.g., "Zone 01 - Northside").
Creating a Map (Street Route)
- Click on the Zone you just created.
- Click the Add Map icon (top center of the map).
- Draw: Click along the specific street or route. For turns and curves, use more frequent clicks to trace the path precisely.
- Finish: Double-click the last point to save.
- Tip: Aim for **30-60 doors** per map for a manageable soulwinning outing.
2. Field Workflow (Mobile App)
How members use these maps to coordinate their efforts:
- Check-In: Select an available (Green) map and tap Check In. The map turns Yellow instantly for all other users, preventing duplicate visits to the same street.
- Current Location: A blue dot shows exactly where the user is standing, making it easy to identify house numbers.
- Capturing Leads:
- Tap on a house number.
- Tap Contact (Green).
- Enter at least a **First Name** and any notes (e.g., "Interested in Bible study").
- Tap **Save**. This lead is now in your church's CRM.
- Check-Out: When the street is done, tap Check Out and enter the total doors knocked. The map turns Red.
Advanced Mapping Features
Satellite View
Use the satellite toggle (top left) for rural areas where houses may not be clearly marked on road maps. This allows you to see individual rooftops and driveways.
Hybrid Printing
For members who prefer paper, go to the List View in the Dashboard, select your maps, and click Print. The system generates professional PDFs that include a QR code. When the member scans the QR code after their outing, they can easily log their results back into the system.
Admin Oversight
Admins can view the **Oversight Dashboard** to see a bird's-eye view of the city. Real-time stats show what percentage of the city has been covered and who is currently active in the field.
